Hans Anders
It is perhaps the most famous optician in the Netherlands: Hans Anders. The Dutch optician opened its doors in Rotterdam in 1982 and has since grown to over 700 branches of Hans Anders, eyes+more, and Direkt Optik in the Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, Germany and Austria.
Through years of cooperation with Interieurbouw Heusden, Hans Anders got in touch with TVE Group. In 2018, Paul Mettler, director of Interieurbouw Heusden, became acquainted with TVE Group. He told us that his company had been a total supplier for the interior construction of Hans Anders for years, including all peripheral matters such as in-store communication. However, due to the expansion of Hans Anders, the in-store communication became too much for one party, and Paul was looking for a suitable partner. Our task was to help implement an entirely new store concept: a complete interior plan with all-inclusive in-store communication for Hans Anders.
Hans Anders renews campaigns and assortments regularly. Many of these campaigns are displayed on digital screens, but some physical in-store communications still needed a change. For employees, it was vital that they could easily change these campaigns themselves. In close consultation with the customer, products with magnetic foil and iron-on vinyl were recommended - both are easy to apply. For Hans Anders, ferrous vinyl is more cost-effective than magnetic film. In addition, the ferrous material has a quality appearance and a long life. These two aspects are important for Hans Anders as the retailer aims to reduce waste. The choice to work with ferrous vinyl was, therefore, quickly made.
Paul thought of making notches in the MDF wood on top of the racks where he could place forex panels. With different sizes and images, you can create a playful whole. The forex panels have the advantage that they are lightweight and easy for the store staff to apply. The first pilot store with this new design opened in 2019. Hans Anders liked the new concept, and Paul decided to bring us into contact with Arno Bink, a buyer at Hans Anders.
Arno visited the TVE Experience Center and got acquainted with TVE Group. He was looking for a suitable partner and wanted to see whether we would be the right partner—someone with the proper knowledge and expertise, sufficient capacity, flexibility and transparent communication.
Arno had a nice challenge for TVE Group: Now that the Pilotstore was approved, we were asked to provide 180 of the 400 stores with the new concept before the end of 2019. Arno had no doubts about the production capacity, but he still wanted certainty about the logistics process. This required excellent planning, considering that the Hans Anders stores are primarily located in shopping centers, which are not easily accessible. In addition, it was also crucial that delivery would take place before a particular time. Arno was quickly convinced of the logistical process through the years of experience of TVE Group, and a start was made where the wishes and needs of Hans Anders were taken into account.
In 2021, TVE Group improved communication in Hans Anders's shop windows. Together with merchandising, the traditional posters are replaced by the Easyfix textile frames from TVE Group. The result? All shop windows have a tighter look and feel, especially with the new poster solution. And they’re easily replaceable as well!
TVE Group is proud to work for an excellent retail organization like Hans Anders.
