Hans Anders
It is perhaps the best-known optician in the Netherlands. Hans Anders first opened its doors in Rotterdam in 1982 and has since grown to more than 700 branches of Hans Anders, eyes+more and Direkt Optik in the Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, Germany and Austria.
Through its long-standing partnership with Interieurbouw Heusden, Hans Anders came into contact with TVE Group. In 2018, Paul Mettler, director of Interieurbouw Heusden, became acquainted with TVE Group. He explained that, with his company, he had been a total supplier for Hans Anders' interior construction for years, with all peripheral matters such as instore communication involved. However, due to the expansion of Hans Anders, the instore communication became too much for one party and he sought cooperation with another suitable partner. At the time, Paul had just been commissioned by Hans Anders to start working on the implementation of a new shop concept.
In early 2019, they wanted to start with a concept store in Gorinchem and the ingenious Paul wanted to have all the dots on the i's then: A complete interior plan provided with the full instore communication for Hans Anders. Following this, Paul contacted TVE Group and visited the TVE Experience Center to see for himself whether the resources and products met his requirements for the instore communication.

Practical solutions
Hans Anders regularly renews campaigns and assortments. A substantial part of this is via digital screens, but there are still changes in physical in-store communication. It is important to Hans Anders that shop personnel can easily change these communications themselves. In close consultation with the customer, magnetic film and ferrous vinyl products were recommended. Both products are easy to apply by in-house staff. For Hans Anders, ferrous vinyl is more cost-effective than magnetic film. Moreover, the ferrous material has a high-quality appearance and a long lifespan. Two aspects that are also important for Hans Anders, as the retailer likes to use materials several times to reduce waste. So the choice was quickly made to work with ferrous vinyl.
Paul thought of making notches in the MDF wood on top of the racks that he could insert forex panels from. With different sizes and images, this creates a playful whole. The forex panels have the advantage that they are lightweight and easy to apply by the store's own staff. With this idea, the first Pilotstore could be made in 2019 in cooperation with Interieurbouw Heusden. The concept was deemed excellent by Hans Anders and since Paul Mettler wanted to outsource the instore communication, he put us in touch with Hans Anders' facilities buyer Arno Bink.
The TVE Experience Centre
Arno then visited the TVE Experience Centre himself and also became acquainted with the TVE Group organisation. He was looking for a suitable partner and wanted confirmation that TVE Group would be this for Hans Anders; A reliable supplier with knowledge and expertise, but also with sufficient capacity, flexibility and transparent communication.
Arno had a nice challenge for TVE Group at hand: Now that the Pilotstore had been given the green light, it was asked to equip 180 of the 400 shops with the new concept before the end of 2019. Arno had no doubts about the production capacity, but he still wanted certainty about the logistics process. This requires very good planning, taking into account the fact that Hans Anders' shops are largely located in shopping centres, making them not easily accessible. In addition, it was also important to deliver before a certain time. Arno was quickly convinced of the logistics process through TVE Group's years of experience and a start was made taking Hans Anders' wishes and needs into account.

A collaboration that will last for a long time to come
Now, in 2021, TVE Group is improving communication in Hans Anders' shop windows and, together with merchandising, the traditional posters are going to be replaced by TVE Group's Easyfix textile frames. The advantage of this is that it looks much tighter in the shop window compared to the posters. And again, these are easily interchangeable.
TVE Group is proud to work for such a great retail organisation as Hans Anders.
